Charities & More

CRUZERS HAVE WON THE GOLDEN RULE AWARD TWICE
To see the Sun Current article CLICK HERE
In the last 7 years we've donated over $67,000.00 from The Summer Spectacular (Car Show/Swap Meet/Craft Fair) & the Friday Night Cruise (which we parted ways with in 2009), to charities and scholarships. This is why most of our members give of their time to work at our events, to generate $$ to help others. We also do free "mini-shows" (Club Cars only) for non-profit & for-profit organizations. It's exposure for the Club and a big draw for the event we're at.

ROBERT LEWIS HOUSE

Robert Lewis House is our #1 Charity. It is a "safe house" shelter for battered & abused women & children.

It's one of the reasons many of us volunteer to work the Cruise & Show! It gives you a good feeling knowing that the money being earned by your volunteer work is going to help those in need.

We donate our profits to other charities & scholarships, which are listed below and to the right.

OTHER 2011 CHARITIES

LAKEVILLE FOOD SHELF

Pretty straight forward. The money all goes to purchase food for the foodshelf.

MINNESOTA TEEN CHALLENGE

This is a 12 month in-house drug & alcohol rehab program with a very high success rate

The PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS

Their main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission they undertake has two basic objectives, which are accomplished through strictly legal and non-violent means:

1) Show their sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities. 2) Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.

LAST HOPE, INC.
They are dedicated to saving abandoned, unwanted and helpless dogs and cats.  Animals received by Last Hope are examined by a veterinarian and given medical care as needed.  Until permanently adopted, our animals stay in our volunteer’s homes and receive foster care.  Our volunteers care for sick or injured animals until they are fully recovered then they are placed in permanent homes.
