	Passport 8500 X50- Value Performance The X50 is the price oriented detector in the Escort line.  It has range very simmilar to the 9500ix.  This detector has substancially more range than the detectors purchased availble at most stores, however, it lacks the voice alerts and GPS features of the 9500ix.  Manufacturer Info: Hailed as the most revolutionary radar/laser detector ever. 	9500ix- GPS enhanced This is the detector I recomend for 80% of buyers.  It has great range, and adds GPS to allow it to alert you to Speed and Redlight Cameras as well as some known speedtraps.  Also the GPS allows it to learn your false alerts.  After aproximately 3 times by a false alert it will lock out that signal and from then on it won't alert to that false. However, if a aditional signal is dectected while rejecting that false it will still alert. 	Solo S2- Cordless This unit is cordless so its very handy if you switch vehicles regularly.  Performance isn't as good as the 8500X50 (but is still better than most if not all detectors sold at shopping centers) so I'd recomend the 8500x50 if the unit will stay in a vehicle for a period of time.  Manufacturer Info: No other radar detector provides the portable convenience and protection of the SOLO S2.
